closed comments still get spam

  • I was getting a lot of spam lately, so I closed the comments for all past post by running a MySQL query.
    All the comments are now closed, and I still get spam.

    I’ve searched…, found similar posts, but I guess I did what I was supposed to do.
    Couldn’t solve the problem.
    (I have disabled comments, but comments continue to be posted.

    Latest version installed.

    Any thoughts?
