Closing a www.ads-software.com Forum account?

    Hmm, is it possible to change the username then? Working on personal branding, and would like to remove/rename my old profile.

    That’s not something we can do…don’t have access to the database.

    Just make a new profile and do like MichaelH said, quit using this one. That’s the best you can do.

    That’s bad news. ;( Thought that most forums and communities around the web gave their users and contributors full control over their own accounts and content submitted.

    kperrone, yeah man, but my old post and username will still pop up if you Google it, and that’s exactly what I try to prevent. I’m working with marketing and personal branding, and it would therefor be nice if my own name was spotless. Otherwise it might be hard to convince my customers that I’ll be doing a good job working on their online brands.

    I’ll bet one of your names is dudde and that’s clean on google.

    In other words, the google results above suck — even without the wp post. work on keeping your entire real name under google’s radar. dont expect that any online moniker will ever be spotless under google’s bright light. it wont — thats why you use it. thats why, hopefully, youre not plastering your real name all over various forums :O
