When under attack mode is enabled using Cloudflare, the plugin reports that the website is ‘offline’?

Thanks for reaching out @rik0399. The plugin is reporting that your website is offline based on Cloudflares attack mode, which pauses access to your site. This would be expected if your site had this mode active within Cloudflare.

From reviewing this particular Cloudflare feature, you can mitigate the impact of this mode by following this guide on the Cloudflare website, by restricting the audience for this mode.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

    Hi,

    I get that?

So if this is used, and the site is constantly being attacked by bots and hackers, there’s no point using the plugin, right?

    Is that correct?

If the front end of your site is unavailable, which seems to be the case with Cloudflares “Under attack mode”, this doesn’t stop you from using the Site Kit dashboard if you wish, providing you can access your administrator control panel.

Whether you use Site Kit or not, site visits with Google Analytics also won’t be tracked if your site is unavailable.

    HJI,

This does stop you from using the Site Kit??!

    The stats do not show?

Thanks for the update @rik0399. If you’re stats do not show, can you share what you are seeing on the Site Kit dashboard, or are you referring to the Site Kit admin toolbar stats on the front end of your site? Please share any errors or messages you’re encountering and I can advise on this further.

Note that if your site is not available due to you placing your site in Cloudflares “Under attack mode”, then no WordPress admin toolbar feature will be available, as your site is not accessible.

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
