clues don’t accept other characters

  • Hi,
    I really love your crossword. When I type in the clues that include special characters like ( ), they don’t show up on front end. When I check back again in the backend with the clues, the special characters disappear.

    hi @rphrus not sure that it’s a good idea to add spaces to crossword.

    What I meant was, for example. The clue: America is the land of the __________. When I check the front end or the back end after I type, the underline characters ______ disappear so it’s showing America is the land of the. So only the period appears at the end. My work around was to use a lot of periods instead of underlines like, America is the land of the ………… and it will show all the periods. I was just wondering if you can have it not taking out the underlines in the clues. I am not talking about the words in the puzzle, only the clues.
