I posted a while back concerning an unrelated topic, but mentioned this in that post. I’ve downloaded and installed the Eclipse theme for CMP, but every so often it simply disappears. It isn’t that it’s not being recognized by the software, because when I check the server via FTP, its folder and all files are just… gone.

What might be causing this problem?

Hey mate, the only thing what could cause it that you have some kind of WordPress security or maintenance plugin which could delete the “unused” folder in WordPress install directory.

The thing is that CMP plugin uses “unknown” folder to WordPress for downloaded theme files – it is under wp-content/plugins/cmp-premium-themes. Folder “cmp-premium-themes” is not part of any installed plugin (standard folder path to CMP plugin is “cmp-coming-soon-maintenance”) and I can imagine it might get deleted (but it is a first time I hear about that).

The reason why we do not put downloaded theme files to standard cmp-coming-soon-maintenance folder is to keep the downloaded themes available after plugin update which overwrite whole installation folder.

Could Akismet or Wordfence be doing that?

Yes I believe wordfence does that
