    Dear Support,

We experienced an issue where our cacheing plugin (WP Rocket) would serve up cached pages of our site (particularly the homepage) even though it was in maintenance mode with CMP.

Speaking to their support team, they have advised that it’s a compatibility issue with how CMP works with cacheing plugins.

I would like to know if there is a way to ensure that if enabled, CMP overrides all requests including those attempting to serve up cached pages.

    Many thanks.

One additional note to add. When first enabling CMP (with WP Rocket also enabled), everything works fine. However, when I access the site using the CMP secret URL, bypassing the coming soon page, WP Rocket obviously caches the home page which I would assume is why after a while, others can also see the home page (and any other page visited) even if CMP is enabled.

Hello @dciphered, generally caching plugins works in a way, which is impossible to resolve by CMP plugin. Once they cache a site, the cached content is served to a visitor even before it hits CMP plugin so there is no work around it.

The only thing we can do is to force the caching plugins to flush the cache if administrator enable/disable CMP plugin or save the new settings. It usually works and by checking the flushing procedure, WP Rocket was not included in the process.

I will add it to the list but I do not think it will resolve the issue with bypass URL.

I would suggest to temporarily disable WP Rocket caching while CMP mode is enabled – it is very lightweight landing page with minimum PHP and SQL requests so I believe you won`t notice a difference anyway.

Anyway, I will include WP Rocket flushing in the next udpate for sure.

    hope that helps, Alex

Thanks for the speedy reply Alex.

That makes sense and yes, including WP Rocket would be a great help.

Appreciate your assistance in answering my query.
