Coda Slider Compatibility With Plug-Ins

I’m using the Viewport template, which centers on the Niall Doherty’s Coda Slider (which I think is different from the WP plugin Coda Slider, his site is here) . My issue is that any contact form plugin or code syntax highlighting plugin breaks the slider. The theme uses slider version 1.1.1.

So my question, is there any way I can resolve this underlying compatibility issue without heavily modifying the Coda Slider, or cherry-picking my plugins?

I really appreciate any help all the WP experts are willing to offer.
