Since a few days, maybe weeks, my monitoring systems Pingdom and Uptimerobot give me loads of false negative for three websites, apparently because Cleantalk refuses some of their bots. I could isolate one example tonight:
    IP 94.75.211.74
    User Agent Pingdom.com_bot_version_1.4_(https://www.pingdom.com/)
This bot is ok and useful, but it is rejected by Cleantalk. Is there a way for me to white-list its User Agent (rather then an IP, that can change any time)?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your request.

IP 94.75.211.74 is not in our blacklists and there are no requests with it:

    https://cleantalk.org/blacklists/94.75.211.74

So it seems that our plugin doesn’t block IP 94.75.211.74

Why do you consider that CleanTalk plugin blocks it? Could you tell us more details, website name? Could you mark some requests?

    Hello Serge,

Thank you! I’ll have a look at it later in the day. I made this request based on Pingdom logs. I have a load of 403, say, hundreds, with html pages generated when their bots were rejected, saying (other examples):

    (…)

Security FireWall is activated for your IP 185.152.65.167

Blocked by DoS prevention system

    (…)
    (…)

Security FireWall is activated for your IP 169.51.80.85

Blocked by DoS prevention system

    (…)

But the last occurrence is now from yesterday night. Something seems to have been changed since then.

    Best regards, Alain

If IPs (94.75.211.74, 185.152.65.167, 169.51.80.85) belong to a trusted source you can whitelist them.

    https://cleantalk.org/help/security-firewall

Also please check “Traffic control option”. You can try to increase requests number for this option.

Well, I’m not sure what happened. But since yesterday night, everything is functioning normally again: Pingdom and Uptimerobot can do their job without problem. And I find no trace of their being blocked in the Cleantalk interface. So all is for the best.

Thank you for your excellent software!
