• Hi…

I’d run some profiles of website and noted a sizeable hit in performance since installing socializer. I installed the P3 profiler on a local install on a core i7 PC. When socializers social sharing is enabled it hammers performance more so than any other plugin we have installed, even BBPress.

Its not the login but the social sharing. I have none of the counters enabled at all.

I have not explored the code but something appears to be taking more time than any other plugin installed by a enormous fashion. Please advise.

    Hi,

We are going to release next version soon (within next week). We will consider this aspect too.
If you are using only sharing, you would like to try Sassy Social Share plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/sassy-social-share

I use the login and social share. I was really surprised how hard the plugin hammers performance. P3 Profiler shows it as the worst performing plugin at our site, worse than bbpress, worse than W3 Cache even after the cache is cleared. With Cache on and having the profiler ignore or off, socialize makes the site almost 2-3 times slower per page view.

Might be some other factors too. We will improve it. Next release is not so far ??

Would you check the performance of plugin after updating it to latest version 7.0.1?
