    HELP I used my home pc to develop a website in WordPress using Webmatrix. I dont have an internet connection at home and want to use my office PC to upload the files. Is it possible ? I havent installed WP on my webserver. Do i need to install a fresh copy of WP or can i just copy the contents from my home pc to my public_html folder ?

  • No. To run WordPress locally, you will need to install a web server. See installing WordPress locally.

    I installed and am running wordpress, Mysql at home. I can edit n create the site. Its perfect..

    My problem is in uploading

    . Do i need to install wordpress on the webserver as well ? if yes then wat if no then which files/folders do i need to copy from my home pc to upload to the internet from my office PC ?

    You need a web server to run WordPress. so if you want to use WordPress locally, you will need to install a local web server.

    yes yes .. i have done that.. it is understood if WP is running perfect(as i said) i have installed local webserver.. Am using webmatrix it helped me get all the necessary requisites. Now I CANNOT UPLOAD MY WEBSITE ON THE INTERNET from MY HOME PC.. I need to use my OFFICE PC whic has got a connection. My question remains the same. How do i do it

    will try it. Seems complicated though n maybe slightly solves my problem.. Thanks for the help anyway
