Code is deleted after every update

  • Hi,

    My code for embedding Trustpilot reviews has once again vanished from my header.php file. I think this has to do with updating OceanWP. Does the code have to be replaced each time there is an update or can this be avoided somehow?

    Notice that the “Trustpilot” link has no styling on the page, it is just text.

    Try to add the code using the child theme to avoid it. Follow the below steps to do it –

    1. Install and activate the oceanwp child theme – https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/90-sample-child-theme
    2. Copy the header.php file (from the parent theme) into the child theme
    3. Open the copied file and add the code

    It will not erase after theme update.

    Also, would you happen to know why know why I am not receiving email notifications when someone replies to me on this forum? I have the notification setting enabled.

    I’m not sure why you are not getting the notification email. Have you checked your spam folders?
