Code is included in excerpt

  • I use the recent posts extended widget to show latest posts on the homepage of a website, but if the post includes a next-gen gallery slideshow, bits of code get included in the news feed. See the Latest News bottom left of https://www.herefordmarket.co.uk to see. The code currently showing is:

    “From M/s ****** – Limousin/Limousin x heifers with Limousin x calves. ” order_by=”sortorder” order_direction=”ASC” returns=”included” maximum_entity_count=”500″]…..Read Full News Story

    I expect you’ll tell me to ask the Next-Gen authors and I have done, but need one of you to help me out please.

  • Article without text, only gallery/image. Single post, the Excerpt field and you can add a short text.

    Ok, so I added ‘See slideshow’ to the excerpt which got rid of the unwanted code but it then duplicated the wording from the post and added ‘Read more Entry of cows/heifers & calves from one farm – 21st June’?:

    “Entry of cows/heifers & calves from one farm – 21st June
    Consignment from M/s Cook – 14 Limousin/Angus x cows/heifers with Limousin/Blonde calves. See slideshowRead more Entry of cows/heifers & calves from one farm – 21st June”?

    widget, settings and Excerpt Length

    I changed the excerpt length but it still shows all the same words
