  • Well, strictly speaking, only the child theme style.css file is loaded. That’s why it’s the only mandatory file in a child theme, but since the child theme style.css file is @importing the parent style sheet, effectively the parent CSS code is first and the child CSS is last and therefore wins in the cascade.
