• Hello,

I see my URLS are showing some weird codes after / on my site and Google analytics. For example:??v=3a52f3c22ed6, as seen here.

Why is this happening? There should be no codes after the “/”.

My permalinks are set to “post name”. Therefore there should be nothing after the “/“

    Please advise.

You can disable geolocation in WooCommerce plugin settings to get rid of that codes.

    Hello,

I need this enabled for using the WOOCS currency plugin. I had this plugin for a while but this issue with the codes happened yesterday.

I don’t understand why this is happening all of a sudden.

Is there anything else I can do?

If you need this feature, then it seems you have to accept this URL “tail”
However, you can ask on WooCommerce support forum or WOOCS currency plugin support forum if there anything can be done about it.

    Hi @pleazo,

You can still use geolocate and disable the ?v=xxxxx URL string but it will not work with static cache plugins. You can learn more here:

    https://blog.berocket.com/how-to-remove-vxxxx-string-from-wordpress-urls/

If you can sacrifice the caching plugin which speeds up the website then you can try the method above. Or you can contact the currency switcher plugin support to know if they have any workaround.

    Thanks

    Hi

I got an answer back from woocs about this issue:

OK! Then woocommerce will not detect the user’s current location if you have a caching plugin. This is Woocommerce incompatibility with your caching plugin. For this reason, this setting has such a description – https://share.stackovergo.com/image/i20221026100600.png

Of course, my plugin switches currency based on incorrect user location data (data that woocommerce sends)

Can someone please advise? Sounds like it’s a woocommerce issue?
