• I don’t know who’s in charge of the Codex section but a) search is busted and b) the list of plugin’s is so awful you can’t find anything. When I FINALLY found the one I’m looking for, the link is unclickable.

Can someone figure this out please?

  • In a sense, no one is in charge of Codex. It is maintained by volunteers. Any help with Codex is greatly appreciated and if you find any dead links please click on Edit and fix or delete the offending link.

Codex will always need work, so please consider contributing your time to make it a better resource.

    Hi

Now the Codex is mentioned I would like to add, that I find, that i works very slow. It takes a very long time for the pages to load. Is it the bandwidth on the server that’s too slow or is it too much traffic?

I don’t know if there is anything to do about it, but it would be nice if the pages loaded somewhat quicker.

I’d like to add that the layout of the codex has not improved in my opinion. I’m particularly curious why the rightmost column contains only two small menus, but in doing so squeeze the main column in width for the entire length of the entry, leaving a rather narrow column of text long after the two right hand menus have disappeared. Why not just add the two right hand menus to the list of menus on the left, and allow the main column to expand to a usefull width?

The other thing I noticed is that all code in entries is, probably because its formatted with pre or code, expanding well beyond the restricted width of the main column. The appearance looks very irregular and I find the old formatting of the codex far more pleasant.

That said, I’m very grateful for the codex to exist at all, and hats off to the people working on it.

    Cheers,
    Robert
