Coding conventions of rss feeds

  • I’m using WordPress as a backend cms feeding content as XML to a Flash driven front end.

    The feeds are just mods of the rss feeds already there.

    Does anybody know why wp-rss.php, wp-rss2.php are not coded using THE LOOP , but with a more unsexy foreach loop being break’ed ?

    Which includes would I need to write a feed using THE LOOP, that could be called directly?
