• First of all, congratulations. What a useful tool !!! Ok, my site is becoming bigger and bigger, and the Pages menu is growing to be very long. I want only the Parent pages to be displayed, and, if I want to see any parent pages’ child, just click on that parent page and then it’s childs would be displayed. Simple and intuitive. Does anyone know any code that I can use ? And where must I put it ?
    THANKS !!!

  • I tried this plugin, but it doesn’t seem to work. The instructions were very simple. Do the sub-pages have to be created in a certain way?
    Thanks, jim

Did you activate the plugin? Did you make the changes to the appropriate function call in your template? It’s dead simple to use. It’s literally 2 steps to use.

Yes, I did that but both my pages and sub-pages show.

Didn’t work for me either. It showed all subpages on any page but home, including subpages for pages that weren’t selected. I tried using a unique subpage template, and/or a default subpage.

It was easy, enough for me to follow the instructions exactly as laid out. It’s probably awesome for those who can use it, but alas, that’s not me.

This is the best one I’ve found for creating collapsible sidebars. It’s also WP 2 compatible and it supports the same argument list as WP’s wp_list_pages function. Try it, you’ll find it works very well

    Fold page list:

Does this plugin give us the option to display certain child categories and not display the others in its ‘exclude’ function? Im concerned because there are certain categories I want shown upfront and I have to be able to choose only one section of subcategories to be hidden.

    Thanks

    Hi,

The fold_page_list plugin supports the standard argument list of wp_list_pages, so should support everythying that the original wp function does, and then some more.

If you find that it doesn’t work in that way then contact me (the email in in the head of the plugin) and I’ll see what can be done.

In general though, if the functionality you want _is_ in wp_list_pages, then it’s also there in fold_page_list.

    Best regards

    Rob
