• Hi! Thanks for your work on this plugin.

Is there a way of collapsing flexible content that uses dynamic rendering down to just the title bar? Like the original flexible content: https://ibb.co/s2LDD0K

Maybe I’m missing something, but when using dynamic render the collapse / expand icon is now just switching between the form and render instead of collapsing things.

I’ve just started switching some client sites w/ flexible content to use dynamic rendering. Several clients have commented that it’s much harder to use drag-and-drop to re-order items on large pages when all the previews are showing. This is especially true for older clients, where dragging something to the top or bottom of a page and waiting while the page scrolls to the right place isn’t intuitive.

Is there a way to not lose ACF’s original collapse / expand functionality with dynamic render? And is there also a way to implement an expand all / collapse all button at the top to make this even easier for clients?

I think a separate edit icon which opens the form instead of overriding the original collapse / expand icon would be much more user friendly.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

    Thanks for the feedback!

In fact, as you noticed, the Flexible Content Dynamic Render/Preview will override the native ACF behavior that “collapse” layouts, and show the preview/fields to edit instead.

This decision was taken as it was easier to implement the feature using the existing ACF logic. Additionally, it would have become really confusing for users to have 4 differents actions within the same layout: collapse, expand, show preview, edit fields.

I will see if I can implement an icon to re-introduce the collapse/expand in a future update. I’m adding on the todo list.

    Thanks!

    Regards.
