    Hello!

I changed the table # I wanted to use in the shortcode [table id=2 responsive=collapse /], and after I did that the collapse option stopped working. I tried flip and scroll, and they both work. I deactivated all of the plug-ins except for Table Press and Table Press Responsive and activated the Twenty 17 theme. It still didn’t work. Any ideas on the issue? I really need the collapse option to work on mobile phones so people know there is a ticket section.

    The url is:

    Thanks!

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

The reason for this problem is that your site uses combined cells, via the colspan feature. This is not compatible with the DataTables JS library’s feature. However, it should not even be necessary, so that you can make the collapse mode work by simply removing all #colspan# from the table cells.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Thank you so much! That did work. Can you also tell me how to get the top row to be red without using the collapse code? I like it red, and the only time it is red is when I use the collapse code. I would like to not use the collapse option on the desktop.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

no problem, you are very welcome! ?? Good to hear that this helped!

To get the red background, the best approach should be to enable the “Header row” checkbox on the table’s “Edit” screen. That’s better for semantics than using the CSS on the body row as you seem to be doing now.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
