Collapsing the pages widget, possible?

In the pages widget, that displays all your pages on the main page, is it possible to collapse any sub-categories beyond point X?

Say, there’s the main pages, and some of these have sub categories(1), and some of these sub-categories(1) have sub-categories(2)… And some of THOSE(2) have sub-categories(3)… and so on and so forth. Is it possible to collapse any pages beyond sub-category 2, so i don’t end up with gaps in between the sub-categories (1)? Or would I have to download a new widget for that? (If so, any suggestions?)
