    Hello!

    I am totally stumped by an issue that seems to be taken for granted by all the tutorials I have found on the subject.

    I’d like to send abandoned cart emails. However, in WooCommerce at least, the buyer is never given an opportunity to provide their email address until they are actually making the purchase.

    To put it another way: the buyer’s email is collected on the very same click that the purchase is finalized.

    Obviously I’m meant to collect the email address at an earlier point in time. But how?

    I have tried abandoning checkout with an existing logged-in account, but that didn’t do the trick either. Any tips? Thanks in advance for any help.

    Update: After around 7 or 8 hours the abandoned cart emails finally went through. I’m still not completely clear as to how the feature is meant to work, and why it took so long for my emails to go through, but for now I’ll mark this topic as resolved.
