Joe, I LOVE this plug-in for WordPress. I have made dozens of maps, but when I tried my first collection map, it’s all grey. I assume that if two individual maps have the same collection checked, I should see both routes together? Now it’s all grey, until I hit the current location spot and the map shows my area – but if I scroll to where I should see the routes, there is nothing there. The site is not public, but I can easily provide access. First, I wanted to know if the grey screen is a known issue. Also, we I go to the “/collections/slug” page, I only see the three map titles listed, but no map. That’s another action that I wasn’t expecting. I’m hoping this is a issue of my stupidity. THANKS for everything.

    Hi @wlown,

Thanks for reaching out and I am sorry to hear you are experiencing issues.

Are you receiving any console errors (with Debug Mode enabled)?

Does this still happen with the “Shortcode Method” option set to “Embed” (Settings > Advanced > Collection Options)?

    Cheers,

    Joe

Thanks for your reply. Yes, the problem of the greyed map persists with embed as the selected option. And looking at the error logs, it seems like plentiful issues including:

    1. This page uses the non standard property “zoom”. Consider using calc() in the relevant property values, or using “transform” along with “transform-origin: 0 0”.
    2. Partitioned cookie or storage access was provided to…….
    3. And hundreds of: “Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘lat’) at F.getCenter (_static/??-eJyVy0EKwyAQBdAL1QwNpMmm9CxGp0bjqDiK7e2bLAqBQktXw5//X0tCxVAwFEi+GhsYHJYk1QoUdfXI0JLJcYmd41P7XDf5JJnX9xWOQVsu4Pjw6siGH14yY+Gd3fM2+SJM3eKM2cBcrdeArGRCsRTyYIPGxz/WI+390d3oeh77oZ/GyzC9ALgrbLo=:78:10118) at Waymark_Map.reset_map_view (_static/??-eJyVy0EKwyAQBdAL1QwNpMmm9CxGp0bjqDiK7e2bLAqBQktXw5//X0tCxVAwFEi+GhsYHJYk1QoUdfXI0JLJcYmd41P7XDf5JJnX9xWOQVsu4Pjw6siGH14yY+Gd3fM2+SJM3eKM2cBcrdeArGRCsRTyYIPGxz/WI+390d3oeh77oZ/GyzC9ALgrbLo=:86:192452) at _static/??-eJyVy0EKwyAQBdAL1QwNpMmm9CxGp0bjqDiK7e2bLAqBQktXw5//X0tCxVAwFEi+GhsYHJYk1QoUdfXI0JLJcYmd41P7XDf5JJnX9xWOQVsu4Pjw6siGH14yY+Gd3fM2+SJM3eKM2cBcrdeArGRCsRTyYIPGxz/WI+390d3oeh77oZ/GyzC9ALgrbLo=:86:191837 getCenter @ _static/??-eJyVy0EKwyAQBdAL1QwNpMmm9CxGp0bjqDiK7e2bLAqBQktXw5//X0tCxVAwFEi+GhsYHJYk1QoUdfXI0JLJcYmd41P7XDf5JJnX9xWOQVsu4Pjw6siGH14yY+Gd3fM2+SJM3eKM2cBcrdeArGRCsRTyYIPGxz/WI+390d3oeh77oZ/GyzC9ALgrbLo=:78

Sorry, this means nothing to me. Any insights?

Part 2… I should have mentioned these points:

    • I tried other browsers and the same issue. I disables an ad blocker
    • another plugin was recently causing issues and the solution was: “There’s an issue with the optimization plugin that combines the module script with other scripts. I’ve excluded our xxx script in the settings at https://xxx/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=page-optimize, which fixes the problem.”

    Helpful?

    Hi @wlown,

It might be worth <meta http-equiv=”content-type” content=”text/html; charset=utf-8″></meta>systematically disabling your optimization and other plugins and even switching themes to help isolate the conflict with your setup.

Please feel free to reach out here with a link so I can take a look.

    Cheers,

    Hi @wlown,

I took a look at your site and I am not sure why no data is being loaded, but looking at your source there is no use of the load_json() method – indicating that the plugin has not found any Maps (although I can see that you have Waymark Maps in use). It’s definitely worth double checking that the Maps are associated with the correct Collection and that you are using the correct ID in the Shortcode.

Other that that I am a bit lost I’m afraid. Systematically disabling your plugins and even switching themes to help isolate the conflict with your setup is all I can recommend.

Please do let me know if you make any further discoveries and my apologies that there isn’t more I can do at this time.

Thanks so much for looking and trying to make the collections work. I’ll let you know if I figure out what is going on.

Hi again – solely for your info, I disabled every single plugin that I could and the collections didn’t work. The maps are great. I also tried several different themes. I also tried new maps with .gpx not .kml or other possible tweaks. Still grey. Oh well. I still get value from the single maps and I remain optimistic that this issue will resolve itself. THANKS
