• All in all a very nice plugin, adds a lot of individuality to twenty seventeen. The only downside so far is that i use also the plugin advanced twenty seventeen, which gives more possibilities again that i wouldn’t do without if anyhow possible. Unfortunately, in combination with advanced twenty seventeen, the color choosers in options for twenty seventeen don’t work anymore. Any chance that this problem is going to be solved soon? In that case i definitely give 5 stars.

    Hi,

Firstly, thanks for the review and taking the time to tell us about your experience.

OK, so we’ve known about this problem for a while now (we even put it in the FAQ!).

There is something in the “advanced” plugin that breaks the default WP_Customize_Color_Control in WordPress Customizer. It’s not us! The issue needs to be resolved in that plugin but it hasn’t been updated for three years so we don’t think it’s going to be fixed anytime soon!

What this also means is that the other plugin has not been tested against the new versions of your theme which has had quite a lot of changes in that time!

So … alternatively … if you let us know what features you would like to see in this plugin (through the support forum) then perhaps we can fix the issue that way.

Wow, thanks for this quick reply!
Yes, i saw the FAQ entry and already feared it might be their problem. The thing is i’m using some of their features that i realy like: e.g. Menu background image (most important), boxed layout (important), global typography settings and three footer colums.
Maybe you know how to easily add a menu background image through custom CSS field?

Thank you & have a nice DAy

    Hello Martin,

We can add an option for adding a “menu background image”, I’ll put that on the “to do” list.

I’m not sure what you mean by “boxed layout”, can you please provide an example?

We do not modify typography settings globally as this wouldn’t be a theme specific option. There are plenty of plugins that do this.

The option to have a third footer column can already be found in the premium plugin.

    Thank you for your effort.
I didn’t find any example for the boxed layout, but i will put our website online on thursday, so you will see there. The content and menu is limited to a cerain width, whyle, specific to tenty seventeen, only on the frontpage, the header image flows around it. On the other pages the, here narrower, header image is unfortunately then also limited to the content width.

looking forward to get that menu background ??

    Hi Martin,

I’ve just pushed a version of the plugin to include options to choose and style the background image of the main navigation.
