    Hello,

I’ve been using this plugin for months across a few different WordPress installations with different plugins in-use. At first the color picker in newsletter designer was working but now it is not. Nothing happens when selecting the color picker and there is no error in the console. I have this installed on three different WordPress sites all with different plugins so I don’t believe it is a conflict. I’ve also tried to use it in Edge, Chrome and Firefox browsers with the same non-working result. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there something obvious I am doing wrong?

Hello @wauger, and thanks for using our plugin. We’re not aware of issues regarding the color picker at the moment, may I ask which Newsletter version are you working with? It looks like there is some conflict going on, so maybe you would want to take a look if there are plugins in common among those different WordPress instances.

    Thanks,
    Michael

Thanks Michael. We are using Newsletter v8.2.1 (just updated) but still having the same issue with the color picker not working. Here is a list of plugins active across all of my WordPress installs. Can you help me tell easily which might be conflicting? Is there a way to determine where the conflict is occurring without having to disable/re-enable all plugins?

Also, is there another way of setting the color of various elements within the email body besides using the color picker? CSS?

Hello @wauger, well that’s quite a long list of plugins ?? I totally get that disabling all of them on a production website would be problematic, so I’ll give it a shot: try disabling Advanced Editor Tools, Wp Custom Admin Interface, Jetpack Boost. Disable them one by one and perform a check each time. Also, if you would be so kind to record a short screencast of the color picker behaviour, it would be helpful.

    Thanks,
    Michael

With so many plugins to cross-check, I’d be inclined to disable ALL of them for a very short period of time. Then at least you’ll know it IS a conflict – and not the Newsletter plugin itself.

After that – use the 50% method to narrow down the culprit. ie. Disable one half and test. Keep halving the offending half/quarter/eighth etc. and you’ll get there far sooner than just randomly disabling the odd few.

Also – it *could* just be a Javascript problem . Have you tried other browsers?

Hello @adamnz, yes, if you can do that, it will of course be a faster method than to try and guess. Let me know your findings. I’m inclined to exclude javascript errors, we indeed tested it on a variety of environments and as of now, it works.

I’m here whenever you’ll be ready to share your testing results.
