I have created a product on this website and currently there are 2 variations. Maroon and Green. For Maroon I have created a variation of 3XL only but for Green there are 2, one Large and one 3XL. When I click on 3xl the choice of Maroon shows up as it should but the green is not there, nor is it displaying when I click on L. Does anyone have any idea of what might be wrong. I have checked my set up multiple times but can’t see what is going on.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

This kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.

I have visited your site and can see what you are referring to with product variations not showing correctly (I also checked other products and saw similar issues). It looks to me like this may be an issue within your theme.

The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin is to temporarily switch your theme to Storefront and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you while you’re logged in to that session without affecting normal visitors to your site. Note that Health Check may not count Storefront as a default theme, so you can also use Twenty Seventeen as well.

If that resolves the issue, then one-by-one you can switch back your theme and re-enable your plugins, testing in between, until you find the one causing the conflict.

Thanks for you help. I have contacted the theme tech support. The last thing I want to do is upset the apple cart by switching themes. The last time that happened it broke everything and took many hours to repair the site. Does Health Check actually change the theme or just mimics changing it. (since you said it doesn’t change what the visitor is seeing it sounds like it is not really changing anything) If this is true, it would be very helpful.

    Hi Sue,

I believe it will only change things for your user. Outside of that I see your variations have images instead of the default drop down to choose from, is a plugin or theme changing that? Whatever it is try disabling it and seeing if your variations work as they should with the default dropdowns.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

Thanks – it was something within the theme!

Glad to hear you found what the issue was, hopefully the theme developer has resolved that problem and your variations are all happy and working as they should again. ??
