• I’m always interested in having the latest version of the Colormag theme and WordPress platform but I don’t like it when design issues arrise because of the update. I’ve recently updated Colormag to the above version and my header title and brand is now BLUE rather than the original RED.

    Also, as mentioned by user (@mishcazzulani) my links to post comments that sit in the right side bar are also BLUE, originally red.

    Finally, the arrow that you press on to return to the top is also BLUE and this was also originally RED.

    I’ve tried to fix the issue but it appears that many of the design functions, options and customizations I remember, have now been stripped out, leaving the menu feling a bit basic and bare – why has Themegrill done this, is this a move to force people to the PRO version?

    Please can you support me on my new issue above and answer the question I’ve put forward to you?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @treadstone02
    Firstly, thanks for asking about the problem here and sorry for the inconvenience caused.

    We’re going to release an update with the fix. For now, please add this custom CSS and let me know if this doesn’t fix the current color issues:

    a,
    #site-title a,
    a#scroll-up i,
    .widget_featured_posts .article-content .entry-title a:hover,
    .footer-widgets-area a:hover,
    .widget_featured_slider .slide-content .entry-title a:hover,
    .widget_highlighted_posts .article-content .entry-title a:hover,
    .single-related-posts .article-content .entry-title a:hover,
    .related-posts-main-title .fa {
        color: #dd3333;
    }

    https://docs.themegrill.com/knowledgebase/where-do-i-add-my-custom-css/

    After you get an update of ColorMag fixing this, you can remove the above CSS code.

    Regarding, options after theme update, we’ve not removed a single option from the previous version of ColorMag free. We always believe in serving our free version user as much as possible while maintaining balance to the premium version. So, it is never our intention to cut out existing features of the free version, and just to make you clear on this, we’ve not done that. ??

    You might have felt that since we’ve arranged the options inside sections and panels, you’ll see all the options from the previous version as mentioned here: https://docs.themegrill.com/colormag/where-are-the-customize-options-available-after-colormag-major-update/

    If you think any of the options has been been removed, please let us know about it and we’ll check this as that would be an issue and we’ll fix it.

    Thanks.

    Thank you for your prompt response and answers. I’d like to say that the custom CSS code has now been added and does fix the issue I needed support on, all relevant text I mentioned is RED.

    Before the update, was there not an option called “design options” that opened up various things you could customize? I’m also struggling to find how to activate “light box” so that images can be clicked on and enlarged. I recall, this was an original option and feature I never bothered with but would like to activate it now. Is it available in 2.0?

    @treadstone02
    You can find the featured image lightbox option as instructed here: https://docs.themegrill.com/colormag/featured-image-in-single-post/

    Also, for other options, please try searching our docs and let us know here if you do not find even after that. ??
