Colors of Calendars

    I have created a shortcode to feed in multiple calendars. I have applied specific colors to each calendar to differentiate them. However, the colors are showing as “lightened versions” of what I have entered, not the true hex code. For example, I have a specific red hex code as my color, but it looks pinkish on the page output. And, I have a dark green hex code for another calendar, but it shows as a pale green. Any idea what’s going on with this?

    Hi… sorry it’s taken a few days to respond to this. For some reason I didn’t get an alert about this post.

    This is the intentional design of the plugin. The full color you specify is used for a stripe along the left side of the event, and a lighter shade of that color is then used as a background color behind the text, to ensure that the text is legible. (Assuming a dark text color and light background.)

    Can you share a link to your calendar? I may be able to provide some suggestions for a bit of CSS you can add to your theme or the Customizer to modify how this is displayed.
