• I’m inching my way along, learning css and making changes to my theme little by little. I searched the forum for an answer again, but figure someone out there can direct me to the right place. I understand that different browsers might recognize different things, but is there a standard color chart that is universal. I changed some fonts to #571b7e which is perfect in firefox but in ie it comes up for a second and then goes back to the original color. I cleared my cache which didn’t make a difference so now I’m thinking I need a basic, standard color. Thank you in advance.

  • that probably has more to do with IE applying a different style rule than it does with the color looking different in FF and IE.

There is a free IE extension called DebugBar that lets you see what CSS rules IE is applying to a page element.
