colour change after regenerating

hello,
i noticed that the thumbnails changed colour after regenerating (less saturated).
i found one old thread with the same problem (closed but not resolved):

has anyone else experienced this?
pedro, do you have any idea why this happens? it doesn’t happen with the “original” regenerate thumbnails plugin.
