Colour layer?

Free version: the images uploaded are dull and not even close to as bright as they are in originals. There is a colour by default but in “box shadow” which shows “pro”

Does the free version have colour layer which makes images look dull? This is a BIG problem as the images are ice cream and colour is very important for my client.

Can anybody tell me if the “shadow” is actually inside the flip box in the free version? if so…. its crappy of developer to make images look dull to force upgrade. SURE! give limited options, but don’t make all images look blah. Maybe I’m wrong. Help?!
