    Dear all,

where does the colour-value in full-calendar of an event originate in, that belongs to several categories with different colours?

I tried numerous combinations and it seems there is a strange kind of overrule of one main category. If I select this or one of it’s sub-categories for an event, its colour-value is applied to the calendar entry.

Of course it would make sense, if the colour-value of the primary category will be used.

    Kind regards

By the way: What effect does it have to make a category primary for an event anyway?
    I didn’t find anything in the documentation…

    Hi,

just to confirm, is this using EM default full calendar or using WP FullCalendar?

    I use WP FullCalendar.

At the moment, the last events category you added and assigned will be the color to use.

    Dear @angelo_nwl ,

    many thanks for your feedback.

I deselected the category whose colour I’d like to be used for an event and save it.
Then I selected the category whose colour I’d like to be used for that event and save it again.
This means that category was the last one assigned, right? But this doesn’t have an effect.

There has to be some other parameter relevant, doesn’t it?

    Many thanks,

    Mirko

    Hi,

Sorry, I forgot to mention the option under Events > Settings > Formatting > Event Categories > Default category color which takes effect for events with multiple categories.

    Dear Angelo,

    ufortunately this also doesn’t work.

The default category has no effect.

It seems the first events category assigned will be the color to use.

If I remove the first category, the event will have the colour of one of the other categories selected.

If I assign the first category again, its’ color will be used again.

    Kind regards

I see what you mean, let me look into this and see if there’s additional filter or hook we can use or I will let the Devs know about this.

    Dear Angelo,

I would like to suggest to use the ‘primary’ flag of the event categories.

It makes sense for me to use the colour of the category that has been set to ‘primary’ by user.

    What do you think?

    Kind regards,

    Mirko

    Dear Angelo,

has the task been added to our roadmap/development plan?

Or could you even tell if the task will be solved in the near future?

    kind regards
