Hi, I have a blank WordPress theme. I created a blank page, created two column but for the life of me I can not figure out how to change the background color of one of the columns. What am I missing ?

I created a blank page, created two column but for the life of me I can not figure out how to change the background color of one of the columns.
If you’re using the default WordPress block editor, and if you’re using the native Columns block, then simply select either of your two columns… and in the options panel that opens on the right, you should see the option to set your desired background colour. Please see the screenshot below!
On the other hand, if you’re using a 3rd-party page builder plugin or a columns block from a plugin, then you’ll need to consult the documentation or support of that particular plugin.
And if I completely misunderstood your question (considering the “blank WordPress theme” you mentioned, which I didn’t quite understand what you meant)… then kindly provide as much detail about your issue as possible so I can help you resolve it.
