Column Filter Issue

    Hi,

    Have two things I am trying to achieve being;

    1. when I use the the shortcode [table id=1 filter=”money” /], the table is filtering accordingly to show all rows with the word money. However I only want it to filter one column for the word money. How can this be achieved?

    2. I installed the column filter widgets plugin and works fine, but I want to change how the selection process is showed to the user. For example when you select a item that item appears below the dropbox box, but I want it to be shown in the same field and then if you want another selection just press the dropdown menu and select it. Can this be done?

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    1. For this, you can restrict the filtered columns:

    [table id=1 filter="money" filter_columns="3" /]

    2. Unfortunately, I don’t know a solution to that. You would need to change the JavaScript somehow. But as I’m not the developer of that JS code (I only use it in the Extension), I don’t know what exactly is necessary. Sorry.

    Thanks that worked.

    Also question for the sorting for each column, if I wanted to use the same table on different pages but on one page I want the sorting to be disabled and the other enabled, how do i do this?

    I know I can untick the enable sorting on the datatable library but wondering if I can use a shortcode to enable sorting depending on which page I want it to show on.

    Hi,

    yes, you can also active/deactivate sorting via the Shortcode:

    [table id=123 datatables_sort=false /]
