• I made a 2 column layout (parent column). Inside the right column, I wanted to add in another 2 columns (child columns) stacked 4 times.
However, the columns inside the right parent column, the child columns expand outside the width of the right column. It’s frustrating.

How can I make columns inside of columns??

    Hi fernandolawl,

Can you please provide a link to where I can see the issue you are having live? This will help me diagnose and provide a potential solution.

    Thanks,
    Nick

    Hi Nick,
Thank you for getting back to me. Here is a test page I made.

Also, I hope this helps but below is what it looks like in my wp-admin section:

This is a test page for Genesis columns using columns inside columns

    Hi fernandolawl,

There does appear to be something funky going on with the shortcode rendering in nested column shortcodes. I will look into this, but can you share the desired layout design that you are looking to achieve? There may be a better approach than nesting columns. Assuming the shortcode rendering works as expected, you still may run into some “interesting” issues, particularly on mobile. There may be a cleaner way to handle the design with just one level of columns.

    Thanks,
    Nick

    Hi Nick,
Thanks for getting back to me. I made a dummy page with what I want it to look like. The red grid would be the columns. Here is the URL.
