com.apple.quarantineq files
-
Since updating to 4.6 WordFence has flagged over 800 files in various core folders on the server created by com.apple.quarantineq. These files are usually created by a Mac on a download before it is opened. They are prefixed ._ and look something like this:
Mac OS X 23?ATTREì5??M?Mcom.apple.quarantineq/0000;56731288;Safari;23D9D266-3EBD-4675-9689-C7F389F60B25|com.apple.Safari
They always mirror a normally named and proper php file.
Now I didn’t upload all these. Where did they come from? Are the WP developers working on Macs? Is it anything to do with the new system for using system fonts?
