I have a new product that I ship with a different courier than I normally do. The fees are not the same so I created a shipping class.

For each configuration I already have, I added a shipping class override and entered a different fee (excluding tax).

When testing my frontend I noticed fees I can’t explain. It’s not the ‘normal’ fee and it’s not the override fee. Weight based shipping works because when I add more products to my cart the price goes up.

It’s the sum of the two. All effective Handling Fees are added up. There is always base Handling Fee in effect, plus other Handling Fees you specified for shipping classes. Does that make sense?

It makes sense in theory but that’s not what’s happening:

this is what I have for the configuration I’m testing:

Handling fees 4.917355 (excl 21% tax)
Handling fees (class overrride) 5,743802 (excl 21% tax)

I’m expecting to see the class override fees of 6,95 incl tax
Your theory says 12,90 incl tax

And my shopping cart shows 6,05 incl tax

Are you sure there are no other options set affecting result shipping cost, e.g. Shipping Rate? If so, then it might be taxes issue. Please check how it works without taxes enabled.
