• Hi, did a search and can’t find an article yet. So thought I would try asking — need to combine 2 or 3 WordPress sites into one.

The only tables that need to be preserved are the _posts or pages table(s).

Any body done this before and have some recommendations?
(I believe I have to worry about serialization, right?)

You have multiple existing WP sites and you wish to roll their post/page data all into one new site? Do the existing sites need to remain active or are they superseded by this new site?

Assuming the new supersedes, using WP based export/import tools should work (not phpMyAdmin export/import). Not sure what you mean by serialization. There’s no serialized data in the posts table, but there is in postmeta, whose data you will also want along with the posts. (pages are also saved in the posts table). Do you mean maybe the serial sequence of assigned post IDs are a concern? They would be a concern using phpMyAdmin export/import, but WP based tools should account for that.
