I have done a gtmetrix test on a website and it gives me this warning.

Combine images using CSS sprites

Please note that you’re using Autoptimize plugin to serve the CDN-hosted, optimized images.
You may want to contact Autoptimize’s author about this directly.

Autoptimize’s developer is here ??

Autoptimize cannot combine images into sprites, but it can inline small background images in the CSS, maybe see if that helps?
