Hi, every so often the Combine JavaScript Files option deactivates itself telling me that some script is creating unique JS code. Could you provide some guidance on how I identify which script this is so that I can exclude it?

    Hey there @kyarauk,

You can enable the option, then load a few different pages.

After that, go to the siteground-optimizer-assets located in the wp-content/uploads folder. From there locate a few js files of approximately the same size. You can compare them using tools like vimdiff through your terminal. Locate the scripts that are creating unique IDs and exclude them from the exclude list located under the Combine Javascript optimization.

Most of the time the issue is caused by slider plugins or plugins generating unique content for each visitor such as popups, consent, etc.

    Kind regards,
    Stoyan

@stoyangeorgiev apologies for the late reply.
I’ve not been able to identify these js files as the only ones with unique IDs are siteground optimised ones, nothing else has unique IDs. Are these the ones you refer to? If not, can you help further please?

    Hey @kyarauk

Please exclude some scripts from the combination and check if the issue still exists. If so exclude another script until the issue is fixed.

    Regards,
    Stanimir
