This plugin provides filtering for “Public Taxonomies“. Could this be used to display and filter links from your “VS Link Manager” plugin?

Ideally I would love to enter 100s of links, each with multiple categories. A software link could have the category “open source” and “cloud”. Using the filter plugin people would be able to click “free” and see all links that have the category “free” assigned.

    Hi,

Because you can filter on taxonomy I guess it’s possible to display links from my VS Link Manager plugin with the Search & Filter plugin. I will do some testing later today.

But if you only want to activate the default links feature of WP, you can also use a custom snippet or the Link Manager plugin of WP, instead of my plugin.

    Hi again,

    Did some testing.

I’m not able to display a links category page, similar to a post category page. Seems to work different.

I have added this shortcode to a page after installing the Search & Filter plugin:

    [searchandfilter fields="search,link_category"]

But when selecting a link category and pressing submit, a 404 (nothing found) is displayed.
