    Hi,

I’m trying to combine the benefits of the Site Kit by Google plugin (i.e. to connect my website to GA4 and track user data) with your plugin (to track specifically WooCommerce activity such as sales, product ID, etc.) and I would like to confirm the proper approach to make them work together.

If Site Kit is first installed, do I need to change certain parameters of your plugin to make sure that the snippet is not inserted twice or that data is not double counted? I want to avoid any conflict in terms of snippet, reported data, etc. so please let me know if the default settings need to be adjusted (for instance, at the moment, I still have the “Use Global Site Tag” checked, do I keep it that way?)

    Thank you,

    Hello nickpetersres,

Thank you for contacting WooCommerce support.

I understand your inquiry about integrating the Site Kit by Google plugin and the WooCommerce Google Analytics plugin.

You are correct to be cautious about overlapping functionality, as setting up Google Analytics with both the Site Kit by Google plugin and the WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration plugin can indeed lead to conflicts, such as the insertion of the tracking snippet twice or double counting of data.

To ensure that the two plugins work together harmoniously, you should avoid connecting the Google Analytics service within the Site Kit plugin if you plan to use the WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration plugin for tracking your WooCommerce activity. This will prevent any duplication of data.

You can still make use of the other services that the Site Kit by Google plugin offers, such as Search Console, AdSense, and others without affecting the Google Analytics tracking for WooCommerce.

For further clarification and guidance, I would suggest reaching out to the support page for the Site Kit plugin. They might have additional insights or best practices for using their plugin.

If you have any additional questions or require further assistance, please feel free to let us know. I am here to help! ??

    Best regards.
