  • You can’t force Google-bot to crawl every page immediately. It’s quite possible that it simply needs a bit more time to hit all of your pages.
You can check in Google Search Console for more information about when what page was scraped… https://www.google.com/webmasters/

Thank you for your super quick response.
I understand that I can’t force to crawl. Just wondering why google would crawl a page that technically was created while the site wasn’t live, since the page was created when the “coming soon” mode was active. How would google see it?
Then if it was crawled when the site went live, it should have been crawled with the real information of the page, like the other pages did already…
Thought that this feedback may give information about the plugin behaviour…
This said, I will wait longer to see if pages updates, should be like the others.
    Thanks for the response anyway.

I think someone from the plugin team will read your post, too.

If the site is closed temporarily, then perhaps it might be possible to change some meta information by using a different HTTP response code and/or adjust the instructions for Google. Obviously, one need to be careful not to ruin any “google juice” already earned…

    Hello,

For Google indexing, should you want Google not to index your staging URL, you can create a robots.txt file as described here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-optimize-your-wordpress-robots-txt-for-seo/ and add this to prevent a search engine from indexing your staging site: https://share.getcloudapp.com/BlupwP95

By default, once you have enabled the Coming Soon page it will still be crawled by a search engine.

Should you want to add SEO data you can do it at the bottom of the content section.

And once the site is ready, the next time Google crawls the site it will update the description.

    See this: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6065812?hl=en

We hope the above information helps.

Let us know should you need further assistance.
