Commands out of sync error

    Hi,

    One of my users said she occasionally experienced error 500. So I inspected and found a lot of these entries in apache’s error.log:

    WordPress database error Commands out of sync; you can’t run this command now for SELECT option_value FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = ‘_transient_timeout_wps_excluded_hostname_to_ip_cache’ LIMIT 1 made by shutdown_action_hook, do_action(‘shutdown’), wp_statistics_shutdown_action, Hits->__construct, get_transient, get_option, referer: https://mysite.com/myurl

    Not sure if this is the cause or not, but I think I should report this.

    I did a bit of searching online and that appears to be an error when another SQL call is still pending. Which sounds like perhaps another plugin is doing something a little bit weird and conflicting.

    I’d suggest trying to disable your other plugins and see if the error goes away.
