Commens are removed from JS that leads to potential licensing issues.

  • Some of licenses like MIT require site owners to include the license code into the files containing libraries. When such a library is minified by the site using BWP Minify – all the license text is cut off. I think it will be good not to remove C-style comments starting with /*! to respect license texts.
