• I want all comments to be auto-approved and published straight away without moderation.

I have disabled (unchecked) the “Users must be registered and logged in to comment” option. I have also disabled (unchecked) the “Comment must be manually approved ” and the “Comment author must have a previously approved comment” options.

For most commenters, this works fine.

However, there are one or two whose comments still pass through for moderation.

Interestingly, these are users who commented before I implemented the “Comment must be manually approved ” and the “Comment author must have a previously approved comment” options.

Can anyone explain this behaviour? And how I get around it? The commenters concerned are my site’s best and most regular, and at the moment having their comments moderated means they’re effectively disbarred from timely discussions.

    Thanks

  • If you have a spam filter and when the commentator enters url also when commenting, obviously his comment will held for moderation.

It would be better if you implement Disqus comment system or Facebook comment system, this will help you get rid of all the above problems with your current comment system.

    I hope this helps
