Hey, Frumph…i’m using jetpack comments so people can post via their facebook account and whatnot; when they comment, instead of showing their facebook avatar it shows a generic one. I’m assuming the same would happen if they posted via twitter or google, whatever…

…in my admin area, the comments show the correct avatar. I’ve tried the default wordpress theme and the avatars show correctly in the post.

Any idea how to fix it so that comicpress shows the correct avatars?

    Thanks,

    Eric

actually, frumph, I this issue popped up last year and I lost track of how we solved it…but i just tracked it down. You might recall, there was an author of another plugin who I was striving to get working in conjunction to comicpress, and he found the code to change…

it’s all documented here (see comments 23-28):

Obviously, a newer version of comicpress was introduced since the last time. I’ve manually made the changes and uploaded via ftp, and it works perfectly, so far.

So here’s my question–i don’t know if you’d recode things to match, or if you chose the code you did for a reason, but if so, to avoid having to manually modify this in the future, is there a way I can have my own comment-functions.php in my custom child theme that will override this?

    Thanks, Eric

I would really like the change if it’s something that is necessary to put in for everyone as long as it doesn’t destroy peoples currents
