Comment awaiting moderation is not showing

Once you approve the comment, only after that the cache is purged for that post.

Unfortunately no. As on a post many people and scammers can comment and we can’t purge cache every time. So, it’s best to purge cache when a comment is approved.

Okay, But I will request you to consider a feature of Comment Submit Confirmation, If there is a message like Comment submitted or Awaiting for moderation will notify users that comments were successfully submitted.

Thanks for the feedback. When a user submit a comment they will see your comment is awaiting moderation. but if they refresh the page, They won’t see it as the cache is not purged. When the comment gets approved and cache gets purged then it will be shown.

Also have you enabled the Automatically purge single post cache when a new comment is inserted into the database or when a comment is approved or deleted option inside the Cache tab of the plugin settings?

Yes, I have enabled Automatically purge single post cache when a new comment is inserted into the database or when a comment is approved or deleted.

After disabling the option Comment Awaiting Moderation is now showing.

You can use plugin Comment Edit Core to do this

After commenting, the user will see the message “Your comment is awaiting moderation.”
