Comment block not showing on posts

  • I am just learning how to create posts. I have a blog page and I created two posts. However, I do not see the comment block on the Blog page. If I click on a post the separate post appears with the comment block. Yet, there is no indication that there is a comment on the blog page. Since the post may not be very long, how does one know to click on the post to open it for comment?

    – Check if you have enabled comments in the Settings->Discussion section of the dashboar

    Yes I have enabled comments there. The comment block only appears if one clicks on the separate post. Is there a way to display the comment block on the Blog page?

    I have a similar problem. I have put some mini features on our home page. Others are pages. On the mini features It says “comments” closed. On the regular pages it has a comments block. It looks to me like mini features doesn’t support comments? I have made a duplicate “page” up and tried to post it on the home page. It will not do so! I have tried everything I can think of, can’t find the problem. Oh, by the way I do have comments turned on in the discussion section. Also I put the mini feature one in the trash in case the home page couldn’t handle both of them even tho I made up a different title. Thanks for your help, who ever you are!!

    My suggestion would be to start your own thread to get full attention to your specific issue. Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical servers, accounts, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Thus one problem, on one setup is not indicative of the functionality and reliability of an application as a whole.
