    Hello,
Is there a way to move the comment/reply box above the replies with a css code? If there is one could anyone share? If that is not possible could anyone guide me in the right direction?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Arrisje,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. ??

Yes, the best way to remove the comments from the WordPress website is by installing the plugin for removing them.

I suggest that you check out this small guide on how to remove them completely, see here: https://wordathemes.com/disable-delete-comments-wordpress/

    All the best.

Lol Thank you for the fast reply. let me rephrase. I don’t want to remove the comments. I just want to move the comment box to above the replies. Momentarily it’s at the bottom. You have to scrol all the way down to get to the comment box.
    Thank you. Again thank you.

Oh gosh, sorry my bad I wasn’t paying enough attention, but it happens. ??

You can move the comments box by altering the comments.php template. It’s advisable to switch to a child theme first.

So, the comments.php file is located inside the theme main folder. You can use FTP or cPanel File Manager to modify the file.

You should be able to locate the file under wp-content/themes/kale/comments.php. If you are using a child theme, just copy that file to the child theme folder and then commence the changes below.

Open up the file for editing and scroll down to line 75 and copy all rows up to 85. See the image: https://prnt.sc/x8i07n

Then just scroll up to line 35 just below the main div of the comments section and paste the code and save changes. See this image: https://prnt.sc/x8i1zj

If you have problems making these changes, just ask our support team for quick assistance, here: https://www.lyrathemes.com/support/

    All the best.

Thank you so much, it worked like a charm.
I don’t have a child theme. But I downloaded the comment.php file and renamed it for test purposes, and kept the original one for incase ;). Made the changes, uploaded it and voila ; it’s perfect ??
    Thanks again.
