comment box always open?

Hi,
is there a setting to have the comment box always open?
When using let’s say xphoto, one has to click on ‘leave a comment’ to open the comment box or to see other comments.
I found that slphoto is the only display of a single photo that has the comment box open automatically.
But I can’t use slphoto because it does not behave the way I want it to.
If there is no option to have the comment box open by default on xphoto I will open a new topic and explain what I mean by slphoto not behaving the way I want it to.
